You download the free Skype program here and set it up on your computer. You can use a 'Headset'. Sometimes with the camera, sometimes not. It takes a few minutes to configure your settings and Skype also makes it possible to send very large files, like MP3's and video files, for homework, for example.

What experience do you have that makes you a good teacher?
I have been teaching since 1999 when I moved to Vietnam to start teaching English.
I have taught thousands of people in Vietnam, some of them in universities, in some businesses, and I have also trained many Vietnamese and foreign teachers on the techniques of teaching.
Many of my students are now living, working, studying abroad, in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the UK. I have taught all kinds of people, from small children to Directors of Vietnamese multinationals.
I have been teaching since 1999 when I moved to Vietnam to start teaching English.
I have taught thousands of people in Vietnam, some of them in universities, in some businesses, and I have also trained many Vietnamese and foreign teachers on the techniques of teaching.
Many of my students are now living, working, studying abroad, in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the UK. I have taught all kinds of people, from small children to Directors of Vietnamese multinationals.
Prior to that, I ran two very successful businesses in Australia giving me excellent insight into the needs of business people.

Of course when its morning where I live, it may be evening where YOU live-lets work it out so we are both happy.
How do I know what level I am?
I will test you. It takes a few simple questions to determine your level approximately, then I can give you an actual grammar test if necessary. It is a myth that there are clear lines between levels. Levels often overlap, but we will find your level so that the lessons, whilst challenging, will not be too difficult.

Do you teach children?
I have no fixed rules about this, it depends on the child.Usually I would recommmend beginners to find a local teacher. If the child already has some English, It's possible.

What program can I follow?
If you have a goal like working or studying or emigrating abroad, then usually you will need to follow one of the Cambridge exam courses for this, perhaps IELTS or FCE.
In my experience, you need to be a strong upper-intermediate level to the IELTS and a strong intermediate to the FCE. Niether of these are easy exams.
There are also two IELTS exams, the Academic and the General Module. The first is for people who want to study at University in Britain or New Zealand, Canada, Australia, and usually a minimum score of 6 is necessary, though it depends on the university and what they require. You need to find out why you need to do IELTS before we choose which program you need. If you just want to emigrate, you usually just need General IELTS score but all embassies have different requirements which you need to check first.The two exams are quite different in their structure and requirements.
If you are a school student, you may just need help using your usual coursebook, with additional exercises to help you with weak areas and plenty of speaking and listening.
Some students simply need to stop their conversation English going rusty. We work on areas like pronunciation and intonation interesting texts and study, then discuss the ideas in them.
I match the program to suit the student, as there are dozens of coursebooks, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Rather than straightjacket you to a program or course, I tailor it to your needs.
Do you give homework?
Yes and no. Some students need and want it. Some have little time, but I usually give it to them anyway and if they do not complete it, they do it next time. It's really a partnership, I give as much as you need. Some students do not like being pushed, some do. Each case is unique.

I have several international corporation clients, And their executives have extensively studied, and their English is impressive, but when it comes to making speeches to foreign shareholders or publishing financial statements, they did not want to take any chances.
"Good enough" is not good enough.

Drinks all round:
The days are gone when businesses can succeed by hoping that a few vodkas, nep moi, or beer and a Chinese meal with their foreign business partners will clinch the contract they badly need. It's true that after a few drinks do people magically become fluent in foreign languages, and it's a great way to make friends, but the next day all you usually have to show for it is a bad headache and no contract.
What can a native speaker editor do for me?
For a start, I can make your life a bit easier. I can make sure your foreign partners do not laugh at your errors, either to your face or more likely behind your back.

English for a while has been the language of international business and it makes a bad impression if you do not think your business is important enough for your staff to be able to speak English, but receive training in how to USE it properly, using appropriate intonation, speech rhythms and registers.

Not just learning phrases, but testing them! Role-play also gives people a mask, so they can feel safe when they play their roles. This builds the self-confidence required to speak a foreign language. It does not matter if you know all the grammar rules in your head, if your mouth can not get the words out when you need to speak.
